Frequently Asked Questions
Want to know more about how we can help?
Everyone’s mind is unique. Many of us are neurodivergent. And while the neurological differences that make us individuals can bring challenges, we believe that with understanding, empathy and expert support, everyone can thrive.
What happens if the report indicates that ADHD is not present?
Having conducted thousands of ADHD diagnostic assessments, we understand the condition manifests uniquely in each individual. Our evaluation process is designed to identify various presentation styles and coping mechanisms – especially important when assessing females who often develop sophisticated strategies to manage their symptoms. If ADHD isn't diagnosed, our clinical team provides recommendations for appropriate support and can suggest alternative assessments if needed.
Are online ADHD assessments accepted by the NHS, schools, and employers?
In the vast majority of cases, yes.
Our ADHD assessments are carried out by experienced clinicians using recognised diagnostic standards. Reports are clear, detailed, and clinically robust, and are commonly used across education, healthcare, and workplace settings.
If an organisation has questions, we will support you and, where appropriate, speak directly with them.
Does an online ADHD assessment differ from an in person assessment?
Online ADHD assessments follow the same clinical process as in‑person assessments and are delivered via secure video consultation.
There is no difference in price. Online appointments can improve access and flexibility, allowing assessments to take place in a familiar environment without the need to travel.
Are online ADHD assessments accepted by employers?
In the vast majority of cases, yes.
Employers are looking for clear, clinically sound information about how ADHD may affect someone and what support may help. This depends on the qualityof the assessment and report rather than whether it was carried out online.
Our reports are written to a high clinical standard and are often used to support workplace understanding and reasonable adjustments. If questions arise, we will support you in addressing them.
I don’t have anyone to help with the pre-assessment questionnaires, will this affect my assessment? (For adults)
We typically request input from someone who has known you since your early years to provide supplementary information during the assessment process, helping us understand your developmental history. The Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM-5) specifies that ADHD symptoms must have been present in childhood for a diagnosis to be made. However, we recognise that some people may not have access to someone who can provide this historical context. While having this additional perspective is valuable, its absence won't prevent the ADHD assessment from proceeding. In such situations, we encourage you to share relevant historical documentation that might provide insights into your earlier experiences - such as academic records or previous assessments.
